Notable Places, Experiences & Events

This is the 1st time that we had Kyle’s mom, Mary, onboard with us.  She does get seasick frequently, so we were a bit nervous about the waves.  Fortunately, it was extremely calm on the water! 🙌

Kyle exited the dock perfectly (no loopty-loo) and we navigated the channel – trying to avoid duckweed and logs.  It was the 1st time we saw them floating on the lake – possibly because it was so calm.

There was very little wind, but Kyle’s dad, Scott, was an expert at getting us going on the right wind angle to find some.  We headed North along shore toward Warren Dunes.  It was probably the closest that we got to shore – we took a different path than what we typically do, so it will be noticeable on the Garmin map.

Of course there was boat traffic coming back into the harbor, and Scott was shocked at how unnecessarily close some of the power boats (ie Dialed In and North Star) got to us … but this is old news for us, and Kyle navigated like a pro! 👍

It was a beautiful day on the water, and couldn’t have been more perfect for Mary!  From now on, we’ll call these very calm days, Mary Days!  After tying up and putting everything away, we had to show Scott and Mary our tradition of soaking in the pool and hot tub to discuss the trip! 🌊🍻
