We left the dock, and Kyle had to do another loopty-loo, and it felt like the closest we ever got to our neighbors, but he said that he felt under control. There were a few other boats – 1 coming in while we were going out, but we were in good shape.
We headed out pretty far out into the water – it was too hazy to see any real distances – Grand Beach, Warren Dunes, Michigan City, Chicago – we couldn’t see anything really.
We decided to turn around, and the lake felt a little more lumpy. Unfortunately, Elaina came down below to start making lunch, but didn’t really feel well, so coming below deck made it worse. She threw up, which sort of turned my stomach, but she made it into the bucket. (We need to be more prepared for guests – next time …) But she was our 1st guest to throw up.
We made it back to the dock, and Kyle was really nice and cleaned everything up, while Elaina and I went to the pool. She finally ate lunch and we enjoyed a few hours at the pool – but it was overcast.
Kyle and I went to the hot tub, and Elaina was pooped on by a bird! What a horrible day – for her! It landed on her head, her arm and all over her towel! Eventually, it started raining so we decided to leave about 4:30ish … I hope it doesn’t deter her in the future!
