Notable Places, Experiences & Events

Kyle spun around again to leave the dock, but eventually made it out ok.  We waited an extra day to leave, and things worked out for the better.  We motored the whole way, but I was able to read and think during our trip.

We didn’t pass another boat until we were past Saint Joe!  That’s over halfway – it was like we had the lake to ourselves the whole day.

The last hour into South Haven the butterflies started – how was the entrance going to be?  What about boat traffic?  Will we be able to dock?

God answered all of our prayers today!  The entrance did not feel too sloshy, it was big enough that we could navigate with other boats, and the traffic wasn’t too bad.  And the best part the South Haven Municipal Marina there were dock hands available to catch our lines and help us dock the boat.

Kyle navigated us beautifully into a tight turn and we were docked within a few minutes of arrival.  Success!  He then spent the next 2+ hours tying up the boat with every available dock line that we had!!!

Time to celebrate with a cold beverage!
